Software + Knowledge Sharing = Economic Growth for Portland

Sadly, I am going to be missing tonight’s Portland Development Commission’s Software Industry Strategy Summit. I’m in Corvallis now for an all hands meeting of the OSU Open Source Lab and doubt we’ll be back in time for the summit. If you’re also interested in the developments but won’t be able to attend in person, check out the live stream. Silicon Florist has all the details.

The planning hub for Portland’s initiative to promote and enhance its software industry is now live at http://pdx11.org – proudly hosted by the Open Source Lab Remember to tag your Tweets and blog posts from tonight’s meeting and future efforts with #pdx11. I’ve already subscribed to the Business Mentorship Network mailing list and look forward to serving our community by participating in that working group.
